Ambassadors are member volunteers who work with staff greeting and welcoming members at events, grand openings and ribbon cuttings.
These member volunteers serve as a part of the member retention program for the Chamber. Diplomats help promote the chamber, support chamber functions and work to retain and build membership.
Small Business Person of the Year and Nonprofit Leader of the Year
This committee solicits nominations from Chamber membership and coordinates the selection and interview process. The awards are presented at the August Chamber Awards Luncheon.
Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) Committee
The Emerging Leaders Program mission is to provide students with an understanding of the concept of leadership and provide them the skills and knowledge to become effective leaders in our community. This committee provides oversight to recruitment, planning and design of curriculum and program evaluation.
The Executive Committee determines long-term goals of the GNFCC and makes recommendations to the Board on strategic initiatives. Its members come from a wide range of industries and are some of the most influential business and civic leaders in the North Fulton area. Members of the Executive Committee are officers of the organization.
The Finance Committee provides oversight of Chamber financial policy, audit and budget as well as best practices as it relates to efficient and effective use of Chamber Membership investment.
Government Affairs Committee
The Government Affairs Committee creates and influences agenda items at local, state and congressional levels; communicates Chamber legislative agenda items in coordination with community partners; and maintains a high level of involvement in transit, workforce house, and talent sustainability and recruitment solutions.
Leadership North Fulton Alumni Committee
The LNF Alumni Committee is responsible for continued engagement of LNF graduates through planning of social gatherings, community fundraising and volunteer activities as well as the creation of a robust alumni program.
Leadership North Fulton Program Committee
Leadership North Fulton operates out of the North Fulton Chamber of Commerce Foundation, Inc. (501(c)3 foundation) and is the organization’s and region’s flagship leadership development program. The mission of LNF is to identify and develop leaders in the North Fulton area by promoting community awareness, instilling civic responsibility, and building relationships. This committee provides oversight of recruitment, planning and design of the curriculum as well as assisting with nonprofit project submissions and execution.
The Nominating Committee is appointed by the Chamber Board of Directors and meets annually to identify the officers for the organization as well as Board members for the upcoming term.
North Fulton Chamber of Commerce Foundation, Inc. Trustees
The GNFCC Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation established to support the Chamber’s efforts in the areas of education, talent development, and leadership development. The Foundation initiatives allow the Chamber to collaborate with strategic partners and organizations to address key business issues and extend the scope of our activities. These initiatives serve a diverse audience including community leaders, entrepreneurs, business executives, employees, as well as educators and students. The Foundation Trustees provide oversight and policy development for the Leadership North Fulton and Emerging Leaders Programs.
Talent Coalition Healthcare Committee
The Talent Coalition Healthcare Committee serves to advocate and create awareness about training and talent gaps within the local healthcare industry, concerning the top 5 in-demand job titles in healthcare as determined by workforce data: Registered Nurse, Environmental Services Tech, Nurse Tech/Assistant, Patient Care Tech, and Medical/Clinical Lab Tech/ER Tech. Additionally, the Committee acts as convener for regional workforce partnerships and is responsible for planning content of the annual Healthcare Talent-focused Chamber Luncheon.
Talent Coalition Tech400 Committee
The mission of Tech400 is to support community business leaders by sharing ideas and knowledge in the areas of emerging technology, innovation, talent development, and creating valuable connections. Tech400 is an opportunity for information technology professionals to exchange information, explore new ideas, develop partnerships, educate the IT community and contribute to the success of our members through quarterly events. The Tech400 Committee will include all IT related and non-related business owners, IT Directors, staffing personnel and others who have a keen interest in technology.
Women Influencing Business (WIB) Committee
The mission of the Women Influencing Business Committee is to enrich, empower, elevate, and educate women at all levels of their career through programs and events, professional development and advocacy leading to business success. The focus of this committee is to engage C-level female executives to enhance the standing of the professional women in the community. The Committee collaborates on the Annual Women Influencing Business Awards Luncheon; serves as the selection committee for award winners; assists in planning two (2) networking breakfast events and the annual Women and Wine Social.
Young Business Professionals (YBP) Program Committee
The mission of the Young Business Professionals is to provide a channel by which young professionals under the age of 40 can add value to their business and community through their personal and professional development. The YBP Program Committee will plan Millennial Mondays Luncheons; develop meaningful service and leadership opportunities in accordance with strategic plan initiatives; promote and recruit a YBP cohort within the LNF class; establish mentoring program; and elevate young professionals to serve as on the Chamber Board of Directors.
