Mountain Park

Mountain Park is officially designated a wildlife refuge and sanctuary. A variety of species, some rare, including Great Blue Herons, Red Tailed Hawks, Eastern Bluebirds and Pileated Woodpeckers, live there part or all of the year. White swans have also been spotted on the lake. Legends, stories and the history of Mountain Park are well worth your interest. When Mountain Park, all 346 acres of it, became a city in the western part of North Fulton, the little town would reserve a special place in which to live. The median age of the population is 42. There are currently 248 homes in Mountain Park, where most residents can enjoy the peaceful Lake Cherful (a combined name of Cherokee and Fulton) in walking distance for most.
